Banana Bread Recipe

 

It’s baking season!!


 

Gwen Stefani is still teaching me how to spell bananas.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 ripe bananas

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, room temperature

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 

  1. In a large bowl, peel the bananas and mash them with a fork or other mashing utensil.  

  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix until the flour disappears and the batter thickens.

  3. Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 hour or 1 hour and 10 minutes. 

    *Tip- stick a fork or toothpick in the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, take the bread out of the oven. 

  4. Remove bread from the oven, and cool before slicing.
