Banana Bread Recipe
It’s baking season!!
Gwen Stefani is still teaching me how to spell bananas.
Ingredients:
2/3 ripe bananas
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, room temperature
2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, peel the bananas and mash them with a fork or other mashing utensil.
Add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix until the flour disappears and the batter thickens.
Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 hour or 1 hour and 10 minutes.
*Tip- stick a fork or toothpick in the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, take the bread out of the oven.
Remove bread from the oven, and cool before slicing.
